We are excited to announce a member-exclusive webinar on Special Purpose Credit Programs (SPCPs) held on Thursday, June 1 from 1 to 2:15 p.m. This webinar will feature housing experts, member peers and a new FHLBank Indianapolis program offering!
SPCPs have the potential to address the legacy of discrimination that has resulted in racial wealth and homeownership gaps. They have been permitted for nearly 50 years by the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and implemented by Regulation B, but interagency guidance has given the option a significantly renewed focus for financial institutions across the country.
In this webinar, you will hear from both housing legal experts and your financial institution peers on how to use SPCPs:
- Morgan Williams, General Counsel, National Fair Housing Alliance on SPCP trends as well as national and local resources for our members.
- Patrick Ervin, Executive Vice President, Independent Bank on their SPCP My Home Reward Program and how they’re using external SPCPs to advance their goals.
- Mark Gould, Vice President, Community Development Manager, and Ryan Bell, Vice President, Small Business Market Manager, 1st Source Bank on their SPCP Minority Business Builder Loan Program.
Lastly, FHLBank Indianapolis will introduce a new program called HomeBoost: Minority Down Payment Assistance Program that will open this Fall! HomeBoost is a pilot down payment assistance program for minority households with income at or below 120% AMI. A SPCP Plan has been developed for this program.
We look forward to having you join us for this relevant and timely conversation!
