From the Long-Range

Planning Task Force

TIMES OF GREAT JOY

The Long-Range Planning Task Force (LRPTF) had its first meeting of the year on Monday, January 6th and is excited to share upcoming events. This past Sunday, January 14, 2024, you may have seen or even added a few things to our timeline, "Together on our Good Shepherd Journey". This can be found on the back corner wall of Fellowship Hall. Please don’t get caught up on dates, this is not fact driven or intended to provide data; it is a fun exercise for sharing GSLC memories, happy times, things that have shaped us and our church in all of our combined faith journeys. We encourage all to participate! Instructions and supplies are provided on a table next to the timeline.

PLAN TO ATTEND ONE OF THESE EVENTS

Additionally, on Saturday, January 27th, 10 AM to 1 PM, and on Sunday, February 4th, 3 PM to 6 PM, LRPTF is holding Conversation Circles, which are discussions between the task force and congregation members. These conversations will engage members in small group discussions around some very pointed questions about our identity, values, and future goals. We encourage everyone to take part, so we get the best representation of GSLC as possible. These conversations will be a guide for the task force to move forward in their planning.

Please sign up via the attached sign-up genius or in Fellowship Hall. You only need to sign up for one date; just choose whichever date works best for you. The task force will provide a catered lunch for the January 27th date and a hearty snack for the February 4th date. Click the button below to select your date.

If you ever have any questions, want to share your story, or just talk, don't hesitate to touch base with any of us.

Sincerely,
