The SS
United States
inspired awe wherever she traveled, and today – over 48 years since her retirement – the legacy of America’s Flagship continues to inspire and endure. This year,
Tradition Brewing Company
in Newport News, VA, joined the fight to save the SS
United States.
In February, Tradition Brewing released Hull 488, an IPA named in honor of America’s Flagship, with 10% of proceeds from canned sales going towards the preservation of the SS
United States
and her legacy. To date, the brewery has donated $4,000 to help save the ship!
Hull 488 cans are available throughout Virginia’s Hampton Roads region, and at the Tradition Brewing tasting room in Newport News, VA. Do you have a favorite bar or restaurant you’d like to see carry Hull 488?

The 7-night SS
United States
Legacy Cruise in May, 2018, will include social events celebrating the music, dance and fashion of the transatlantic liner age, along with in-depth talks on the history, design, art and speed of the SS
