Psalm 95:2 "Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving."
Please share this moment of praise and joyful gratitude to God with me:
*
We give thanks
for Ithiel Clemmons (COGIC, African American) and Bernard Underwood (IPHC, Anglo) for dreaming about a racially integrated and united Pentecostal association - and doing something about it.
*
We give thanks
for a courageous, little-known, not-on-the-program pastor, Don Evans, for finding a bowl of water and a towel, and publicly repenting on behalf of white Pentecostals while washing the feet of Bishop Clemmons.
*
We give thanks
for that 1994 Miracle in Memphis when walls of separation crumbled, when racial reconciliation became the mandate, and when North American Pentecostalism was renewed.
*
We give thanks
for thirty denominations and church networks that continue to believe in, and participate in, the majestic vision of "Demonstrating Unity in the Power of the Spirit."
*
We give thanks
for the friendships, relationships, networking and dialogue among church leaders as they forge partnerships and exchange best practices.
*
We give thanks
for the collaborative ministry of PCCNA the past 25 years: celebrating and sowing into the preservation of Pentecostal history (
Servants of the Spirit
), sowing faith into believers and the unchurched for the miraculous (
Miracle Invasion
), protecting and saving the lives of hundreds and probably thousands of children in sub-Saharan Africa (
War on Malaria
), mobilizing churches and believers to share their faith
(Global Outreach Day
), creating commissions to sharpen our focus on biblical distinctives, and welcoming our brothers and sisters to the south into our family (
Mexico
).
*
We give thanks
for the continuing growth, stability, and reach of PCCNA, and for the many partners, sponsors, consultants, and leaders who have made it possible.
*And most of all,
WE GIVE THANKS
to the Lord our God, Jesus Christ the Son, and Holy Spirit for divine favor and blessing on PCCNA. We are humbled and grateful. Amen.
