Ensuring the emotional health of children is essential to optimizing wellbeing and health outcomes. Routinely using billing strategies for outpatient care can be an important step to obtaining payment and supporting the important role that physicians play in addressing and supporting the emotional health of children with chronic conditions and their families.

Roadmap College Webinar Series Launches with 15 Cardiology Teams

Our new Roadmap College webinar series launched May 12. For six months, we are partnering with 15 clinical teams from the National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative and the Fontan Outcomes Network to integrate tested Roadmap tools and strategies into practice.

Covering topics like identifying resources, building confidence, integrating assessment into clinical workflow, and more, the series will help providers support the emotional health of patients and families.

Speakers for our first webinar included patient advocate Meg Didier, clinical psychologist Dr. Melissa Cousino, and pediatric rheumatologist Dr. Aliese Sarkissian. Attendees said, “It was great to hear the patient’s point of view” and “this refreshed my team’s goal of making sure emotional health is a part of our approach.” We are looking forward to continuing the series and tracking the impact of this important work.
