What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is one of our best treatments to address the cause of aging! This is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive procedure that lifts the neck, chin and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the upper chest. Using Ultrasound imaging, energy is delivered to the precise place it's needed to build collagen and elastin which ultimately results in a gentle lift to the skin.

How long does it last?

Through out the year your body continues to develop new collagen and elastin. On average we recommend treatment annually or every other year.

Does it hurt?

It’s different for everyone. Ultherapy protocols have evolved over the years and the treatment is much more comfortable than in the past and the results are even better! If pain is a concern for you, we can discuss options to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

I recently had an Ultherapy treatment performed and I am so thrilled with my results. My face appears more oval as my cheeks and jawline have been elevated. In the side view, you can see how the Ultherapy treatment is tightening and lifting my jawline and submental (under chin area).

Science behind Ultherapy...

Ultherapy uses energy from micro focused ultrasound. The visualization component allows us to create an individual treatment plan for optimal clinical outcomes.This is accomplished by:

Visualization – we use ultrasound technology to visualize under the skin – this ensures that we are treating the optimal areas under the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin.

Depth – Ultherapy is the only device that can uniformly stimulate collagen at 3 different depths.

Temperature – Neocollagenesis (the process where your body creates NEW Type I collagen) can only be achieved with a temperature of 65 degrees Celsius. Since the ultrasound waves intersect below the skin (bypassing the skin surface), Ultherapy is able to reach this temperature to stimulate collagen and elastin.

To maintain your Ultherapy outcomes wear physical spf 30+ and have your monthly facial with MDSkin.

My personal favorites include the Diamond Glow Facial and the ColoreScience SPF brush because it's so easy to apply and keep on hand for reapplication throughout the day.

And don't forget your homework - a good skincare regimen. My routine includes Skin Better Alpha Ret Clear, Alpha Ret peel pads and Alto.
