Dear Dry Clean City Valued Customer,
* Labor Day -
This holiday marks the official end to wearing summer clothing. It may still be warm for a while but it is time to switch your wardrobe from summer to fall. Since it is still hot and humid in the south this time of year, most fashion experts recommend making a wardrobe switch to lightweight fabrics in darker colors during the transition into cooler months.
Also, it is a good idea to have your clothes cleaned and pressed before you store them away for next year. This will keep invisible food, drink, and perspiration stains from turning yellow or brown and becoming permanent.
* New Clothing -
We recommend having new clothing dry cleaned or laundered prior to wearing for the first time. The main reason for cleaning before wearing is that many new garments may bleed fabric dye onto your other clothing. In many cases this may cause dye stains on your other garments that cannot be removed even with specialty spot removal chemicals.
* Clothing Moths
- You may want to take some time now and inspect your fall & winter wardrobe for insect damage. If you did not store last fall & winter's wardrobe properly, it is possible that insects such as clothing moths may have been feasting on your clothing. This occurs mostly on wool or wool blend fabrics and the damage is irreversible.
* Recycle -
Please return your wire hangers to us. We recycle all of the wire shirt hangers we can. Unfortunately we aren't able to recycle pant hangers if the adhesive is no longer present. Help us keep as many wire hangers out of our landfills as possible!
