The Rochester City School District is excited for the start of a new school year on Thursday, September 9, as students return to in-person learning. We cannot wait to see some of our scholars back on athletic fields and courts, and in the pools.
Our first fall sporting contests started last week, and we know that many of our families and the community want to support our student athletes. To help keep everyone safe, the District is limiting the number of spectators to two per athlete, for all games, both indoors and out. We are also requiring that all spectators wear masks and that they practice social distancing at these school events. For athletic events at other districts, spectators will be asked to follow their protocols.
This policy is subject to change at any time based on current local guidance and community transmission rates. We will share any changes as they arise on the RCSD website and social media pages.
