News & Resources

Have you received your

Statement of Entitlement letter?

This letter is mailed out at this time each year to those eligible to participate in an RDSP - Registered Disability Saving Program. This notification provides you with the maximum amount of RDSP grant that is available and what amount of contribution you need to make to receive those free dollars.

While it’s not always possible to contribute the maximum to your RDSP, starting with a small monthly deposit or increasing what you are currently doing can make a big difference! Other family members can contribute as well ~ grandparents tend to love this idea!

Every little bit helps you capture more of those free dollars, boosting the savings for your loved one’s future.

We’re here to help you build a brighter tomorrow.

Help is Available!

Although we want to be your resource for all things special needs, we would like to share with you another incredible resource.

The Plan Institute offers a free help line. One area where they can really assist you is around applying for the Disability Tax Credit. If you have been previously denied, need to reapply or you do not have a doctor, they can assist!!

Canada Disability Benefit Update

The proposed Canada Disability Benefit is set to launch in July 2025, but with the current state of the federal government being prorogued, there is some uncertainty around what will happen.

While we believe the benefit will proceed as planned, we’re keeping a close eye on developments to ensure you stay informed about any changes or delays.

If you do not have the Disability Tax Credit, now is the time to apply so it is in place prior to the CDB launch!

The website below clearly outlines the benefits and eligibility criteria.

PINK SHIRT DAY

February 26th, 2025

Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, & online, and has no place in our communities.

Let’s work together to create an environment where kindness, respect, and empathy thrive. Every act of kindness counts, and we all have the power to make a difference. Speak up, stand strong, and support each other. 💪💙
