Academy360 Upper School Cuts Ribbon on New Addition

Excitement was in the air at Academy360 Upper School as Spectrum360 officially opened its 20,000 square foot addition with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 4th. Attending the ceremony were representatives from Rep. Mikie Sherrill and Sen. Robert Menendez's offices, Livingston community leaders, S360 partners, board members, families and staff! Independence360 receives CARF Accreditation 

Spectrum360 is thrilled to announce it has been accredited for three years by CARF International, the nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, for its Community Employment Services: Employment Supports and Job Development programs provided through Spectrum360's adult program, Independence360.  

This decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process.

Congratulations to all of our amazing Independence360 staff, who are passionately committed to improving the lives of our adult clients.  

December is a time of giving and Spectrum360 programs are full of the spirit of the season!

Bear Hugs for the Holidays and Operation Santa Paws are bringing smiles to Academy360 Lower School, with the students collecting toy bears to distribute to patients in N.J. hospitals, and pet toys and supplies for local animal shelters. Students and staff are looking forward to the visit from shelter dogs at the conclusion of the pet drive!

Academy360 Upper School  students are purchasing gifts to deliver to children cared for by CASA of Essex County, which advocates for those in foster care that have experienced severe conditions. Students will shop for presents on CBI trips to Five Below and other stores.

Following their successful water drive in November, adults at Independence360 have been gathering much-needed winter coats for the annual J ersey Cares Coat Drive and socks for the Harmony House Transitional Living Facility in Newark.
