Mission in Action: Everyday Moments of Success
At Spectrum360, success is measured in everyday moments of growth, connection and confidence. Whether trying something new, making a friend, or gaining independence, these moments reflect our mission in action — empowering individuals with autism and related disabilities to thrive.
A360's Upper School staff are excited to share some of their students' daily successes that show the results of the students' hard work!
"Gabriel went to Regent Street Cafe with Ms. Kiera and Mr. Morell. He waited to pay for french fries, grilled cheese and water." — Ms. Refol
"M.O. returned to school yesterday and had a very successful community-based instruction (CBI) trip to IHOP. Go M.O!"
"S O. was able to overcome her fear of opening and closing an oven in Culinary! We’ve also had continued success with Café360 — and Happy Women’s Month to all!" — Mr. Luckenbach
"D. K. had so much fun watching the basketball game on Friday! He followed all his 'spectator rules' and especially loved cheering on the Cougars and dancing to the music during breaks." — Ms. Releford
"H did awesome on CBI today! He helped his friends throw away their garbage, had a great time, and even tried lemonade for the first time. Go H!" — Ms. Torres
"R did so well on CBI — he sat at the table, ate all his food, and waited patiently while his friends finished. He was all smiles — definitely a successful trip!" — Ms. Torres
"D. F. initiated a conversation with me! He got my attention and we had a full three-turn conversation about the basketball game — and he's only ever spoken to me once before!" — Principal Cue
"A. R. spontaneously asked C V. what he was watching on his DVD player in Homeroom. C.V. said 'The Bob's Burger Movie' and invited A.R to watch with him — A.R pulled up his desk and joined! Wonderful social progress for both!" — Ms. Releford
"RV worked hard for three hours in school yesterday! Big shoutout to Mr. Wheeler for great piano lessons — RV really enjoyed it and made so much progress." — Mr. Hidalgo & Ms. Mitchell
