Botany Lane Spring Magic Plants Seminar

Mike Zmina from Laguna Products presents spring pond start-up and the importance of the right filter and other components of a successful pond. Mike can help you determine what will work best in your pond and how to bring it back to life. Ponding is easy and fun. John Gerace from Welby Gardens will feature a seminar on "What's New for 2013." This seminar has always been one of our most popular! People can't wait to see what new plant varieties will be on hand for the new year and what has been improved from previous years. This seminar will get you in the mood for spring because of all the spectacular color. A not-to-be-missed class.

 

Fairy Gardening

Gulley Greenhouse's Christy Patton will give a hands-on demonstration on planting a fairy garden! Learn about designing, setting up, and maintaining these miniature gardens and the fun plants and accessories that are available. Fairy gardening is a popular and relaxing hobby that allows for big garden dreaming on a miniature scale. Fun for all ages!

 

Have the Lawn of the Professionals

Harvey Nail from Poudre Valley Co-op presents a class on lawn seeding. Harvey is the expert on lawn seeding, proper seeding techniques, and varieties that grow best in our area. Learn how professionals prepare a new lawn, revive and reseed an old lawn, how they seed and fertilize turf, and how to aerate and power rake. A must see seminar for a professional looking lawn.

 

Designing your Container Herb Garden

Tammi Hartung of Desert Canyon Farms presents an informative class on choosing herbs to plant together in containers. If you have a small area or are looking to include some containers of herbs on your patio you won't want to miss this seminar. Planting varieties together can affect the growth or taste of edibles, so learn how to make the most delicious container of herbs you've ever tasted!

 

Gardening with Earthworms- Nature's Amazing Farmers

Don Mimms of Colorado Worm Connection presents "Gardening with Earthworms- Nature's Amazing Little Farmers." Join him for a lecture and demonstration followed by a Q & A session.
