Trilobite Treasures: Arthropods of the Ancient Seas | Opens June 2!


Ancient life has brought geology and fossil lovers to Michigan for years!


And now, fossil enthusiasts and families of all ages can explore these ancient specimens in one place at the Institute's new exhibit. This unique exhibition explores the life and death of these fine Paleozoic creatures that once roamed the Earth during the Cambrian period, commonly known as the Age of Trilobites.


Features of the exhibit include over 200 real trilobite and artifact specimens, models, and interactive activities that tells the story of the ancient world of the Paleozoic seas.


This exhibit runs through September 10, 2023.

Tickets to Trilobite Treasures range in price from $1 - $3, in addition to general museum admission for non-members.

FREE Interactive Intern Day | June 17 |10:00am - 5:00pm


Explore the Institute for FREE during Interactive Intern Day, focusing on science, learning, and fun! Hosted by our Pontiac School District High School interns, guests will be transported Back to the Future, and will have the opportunity to explore all kinds of fun! General admission is FREE to the public and hands-on activities will take place from 11:00am - 3:00pm. Walk-ins are welcome, but due to capacity limits, entrance is not guaranteed.
