Network News

July 2022

Spinal Network's mission is to support the employment and education of individuals with spinal cord injuries/diagnoses by providing the tools and community support to be successful in their work and personal lives.
Select Spinal Network as your preferred Charity by clicking on Amazon Smile above. This is a very simple process that helps Spinal Network realize our mission.

Hi {First Name},

Spinal Network wants to hear from you, what programs would you be interested in, what resources and information would be most helpful, what kinds of events would you be interested in coming out to. We've put together a very short survey, two to three minutes tops, but it will give us a better idea of what you want your organization to be, what programs, events and resources you want Spinal Network to provide and host. Please take a couple of minutes and I promise that throughout the remainder of 2022 and into 2023 we will do our best to make it happen.

Click the link below for the survey.

Sincerely,

Rick Hayden

Disability Pride is defined “as accepting and honoring each person’s uniqueness and seeing it as a natural and beautiful part of human diversity.” Disability Pride is an integral part of movement building and a direct challenge of systemic ableism and stigmatizing definitions of disability.

It is important for people with disabilities to be proudly visible in the community. The disability pride movement wants to present people with disabilities as people living their lives in plain view proud of their identity as being disabled.

Pride comes from celebrating our heritage, disability culture, the unique experiences that we have as people with disabilities, and the contributions that we can give to society.

This is going to be a great event, connect with JT at 619-852-6144 for more information

Adaptive Sports, Recreation &

Resource Fair 2022

What An Incredible Experience

Adaptive Kayaking was a big hit, many who tried it had never kayaked before. A newfound freedom. We also had adaptive fitness, boccia ball, tennis, pickleball, basketball, over the line and handcycling. Click the button below to view photos from the days events.

A special shout out to all of the volunteers, Sprouts Farmers Market for the water and fresh fruit and our partner, OMBAC (Old Mission Beach Athletic Club) for providing lunch to all that were there.
