He is risen! Alleluia!

Popes trying to make peace between emperors. Friars preaching God's love, justice & mercy drawing Billy Graham style crowds, and priests continuing to serve the faithful in spite of murderous threats from the state, we are having a blast this week.

We also have some reminders of events coming up, make sure to mark your calendar.

Here is your weekly update on what's going on in the parish.

Mother's Day - Father's Day 2022

Cornerstone Baby Bottle SM.jpg

We are supporting Cornerstone Pregnancy Services in Elyria in their "Change" for Life Baby Bottle campaign.

You can help local mothers, children, fathers and families in unplanned pregnancies by:

1) Taking a bottle from the Narthex

2) Fill it with change, cash or checks over the next several weeks.

3) Return the Bottle on Father's Day Weekend (June 18th & 19th) to the Narthex

Your generosity helps local mothers and fathers in hard situations choose life.

Thank you!

We begin and end with Eucharistic hymns.

St. Bernadine of Siena

He drew crowds as large as 30,000 people in the Middle Ages. He stood against error and wanted people to fall more in love with Jesus, which was the impetus for his promotion of the Holy Name.

Wondered where the "IHS" you see in many churches came from? Read about it here.

What the Early Church Believed: Confession

Lent is a good time to focus on confession.

But so is Easter - as it is a way that God pours out His saving mercy to us!

When thinking about this sacrament, the question can arise - What did the early Church believe about confession? Is it the same as us today?

Quote - st jose maria escriva dont lose supernatural outlook.jpg

"I don’t want you ever to lose your supernatural outlook. Even though you see your own meannesses, your evil inclinations — the clay of which you are made — in all their raw shamefulness, God is counting on you."
