St. Ephrem

Saint Ephrem was ordained a deacon, but refused ordination to the priesthood. He was a teacher, defender of the faith, and a prolific writer. He refuted many heresies of his day, often through the lyrics of hymns that he wrote.

Apostles Who Weren't Part of the Twelve?

Paul and Barnabas are both set apart ministry together, on the instructions of the Holy Spirit, in Acts 13. The paralleling of the two suggests the two have the same office, and this is confirmed in the next chapter, as the men of Lystra attempt to worship them as gods.

In Catholic theology, we understand the persons of the Blessed Trinity subsisting within the inner life of God to be truly distinct relationally, but not as a matter of essence, or nature. Each of the three persons in the godhead possesses the same eternal and infinite divine nature; thus, they are the one, true God in essence or nature, not "three Gods."

Catholics can be criticized for not having a personal relationship with God. That is unfortunate - as that is the main point of our Faith and why He gave us the Eucharist.

The devotion to the Sacred Heart (to which June is dedicated too.) is a wonderful way to deepen your relationship with Jesus.
