Welcome to Our Newsletter!
Spirit of Excellence - Leadership Guidance, Inc.(SOE), 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was started in 2006. Throughout the years we have pride ourselves in providing holistic educational programs, resources and services to support healthy relationships for Black Adolescent Girls and Women in urban communities. Like many organizations serving the community, 2021 has been transformative, adapting to provide services virtually.
I am excited as we carry out the mission of SOE with our new Board of Directors. Additionally, we have implemented two new programs. SOE partnered with dFree Financial Freedom to provide financial literacy for Women and Intimate Conversations, a monthly Zoom call on topics related to eradicating domestic violence impacting Black communities.
Our newsletter is a glimpse of SOE quarterly initiatives. Take the time to read the newsletter in its entirety. We look forward to your journey with the SOE Team as we work together to Enhance, Empower and Equip our community in 2022!

Mother/Daughter Day of Wellness Recap |

On September 25th, SOE held its annual Mother/Daughter Day of Wellness! Thank you all who contributed to a successful day of empowerment, fellowship, and unity.
During the session, SOE provided tools to build upon the mother/daughter relationship focusing on communication, trust, self-worth/identity, and rituals.
Participants also received a delicious breakfast and lunch. Special thanks to our Sponsors and Partners!

RESPECT Movie Fundraiser Recap |

The SOE Movie fundraiser on August 14th was a GREAT success!! The sold out event featured excited attendees, SOE merchandise, and donations!
All proceeds support SOE educational programs for Adolescent Girls and Women.

Journey to Financial Freedom |
In partnership with the dfree program, SOE held a webinar on September 27th exploring the Journey to Financial Freedom. The free program focused on paying down debt, improving credit, creating a savings plan and more!

Our power pack programs are designed to Equip, Empower, and Enrich the lives of all participants.
