From Pastor Kevin's Desk
Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church community,
God is with you! We are wrapping our journey through the season of Lent. This is
a time of reflection, repentance, and prayer. The 40 days of Lent connects us to the biblical significance of 40 – Moses on Mount Sinai for 40 days, Israel in the wilderness for 40 years, Jesus’ fasting and temptation in the wilderness for 40 days. This time leads us directly into Holy Week, where we hear the story of Jesus’ passion and, ultimately, his resurrection. This week is the pinnacle of our life of faith together. Please join us for Holy Week services, details for the services are below.
I will be at a required First Call Accompaniment at the Franciscan Renewal
Center on April 14-16 with all pastors and deacons who are serving in their first three years of ministry from Region 2 of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Region 2 includes congregations from New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, most of Wyoming, parts of Texas, and all of Hawaii.
We encourage you to ensure your contact information is up-to-date with Spirit of Hope.
