Help Wanted! Apply Today! No Experience Needed! You see these signs everywhere now. It is hard to walk out your door without seeing help wanted signs. Almost everyone needs help, but there is the catch! They all want you to show up to work. Now, if you are like me, work is a 4-letter word. We try to avoid it like a root canal without pain killers. Well, Spirit of Hope is looking to change all of that. We need help, but we don’t need you to work. You don’t even need to leave your house. Is this a ‘work from home’ scam? No, not even close. What do we need help with, and what can you do from the comfort of your home? You can help us with our Budget! That’s right, SOH is looking for some help balancing our budget. For the first half of 2022 our Budget was doing well, but now it needs a little help. You see, as we hit summer our winter friends go back to the more moderate climates. At the same time, the churches expenses continue, some even going up as we keep the church at a comfortable setting for our services. We need everyone to remember to continue to support Spirit of Hope and all the great things we do year-round. This summer the Seniors Rock will be making sandwiches and collecting water for the homeless at Grace Lutheran Church. We will be offering help for members who need food by providing gift cards. With gas being so expensive people are having to choose between driving to work or buying food for their children. The needs of the community continue, so please consider making additional contributions this summer to help support our members, and our community. Volunteers Needed to help prepare pancake breakfasts for the Homeless If you would like to help, meet at Spirit of Hope on Sunday, July 31 at 5:45 am if you would like to carpool. Or meet us at Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Phoenix at 7:00 am. If you have any questions, call Tine at 414-517-6505. There is a sign up sheet on the counter in the Narthax.

Hello everyone at Spirit of Hope, I am happy to say we are once again able to pack lunches for Grace for those in need. I would appreciate any help you can give with donations. We are looking to pack 100 lunches once a week. We need peanut butter, jelly or jam, fruit snacks and other snacks. Also looking for cases of water. Any help would be awesome. Ladies Bible Study Ladies Bible Study on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. will taking a short summer break. Classes will resume July 7th. In the interim Thursdays there will be a short study led by Peg Goetz for those who would like to continue through the summer.

Crisis in Ukraine Give to ELCA's Eastern Europe Crisis Response – Spirit of Hope has collected nearly $3000.00 for this major need. Thanks to all who have helped support this cause!    To provide an additional donation go to: https://community.elca.org/eastern-europe-crisis-response All funds collected in the HUNGER JAR are designated for the Ukraine refugee program through the ELCA .

Prayers – We pray for those church members who are struggling with many health issues this week and especially with all Covid, colds and flu cases.   We pray for the health of: LaVonne Anderson, Tom Snodgrass, Eleanora Crise-Tomes, Ethel Robbins, Frieda Pyles, Stephanie Skansi, Linda, Jay & Chad Miner Darlene and Darren Holzipel, Moine Gates, Don and Cleo Hansen, Joe and Dana Hansen, Naomi Hensen, Mike Tucker, Diane Reinhardt, Janice Giorsetti, Diane Thompson, and Ruthie Piasecki Chris Tjon and James Tjon, Curtis Peterson, Matthew Stackoiwak, Lois Lorts and Jenna Marley We pray for the families of Dick Schultz and Joyce Seabaugh who passed away this past week. May the God of good health and happiness restore all who are struggling this week with the many situations people in our lives are struggling.
