Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School starts Monday, June 23rd. and is open to ages 4 yrs. to 11 yrs. Be sure to complete a registration form for each child. The forms are in the church narthex or can be downloaded on the Spirit of Hope website.

We will be learning how God prepares us, guides us, empowers us and fuels us on the racetrack of life, all while also inviting others to join the race with us!

We are looking forward to seeing your kids here Monday, June 23 – 25 from 6pm – 7:30pm. Come by 5:30pm on Monday if you need to register. This is a free 3-day VBS.

Welcome!

This coming weekend we welcome Pr. Dana Reardon to our schedule of presiders/preachers here at Spirit of Hope. Pr. Dana will be filling in as Pr. Stoney has been.

Pr. Dana is a retired pastor and has a nursing background as well. She loves to preach and tell stories!

I know we will welcome her warmly this coming weekend- which is also the anniversary of her ordination!

Blessing of the Backpacks

When: August 1st and 2nd at both services

Who: All preschool, elementary, Jr high, high school, college and grad school students and professors, teachers and helpers

Bring your backpack to the church service and there will be a blessing of your backpack for the school year.

Weekly Game Afternoon

We are starting a weekly Game Day over the summer to stay connected and have fun!!

It will start Tuesday, June 17th from 3:00 to 5:00pm.

Bring a game and snack to share if you want. EVERYONE is welcome.

Prayers –

We pray for those church members that are struggling with many health issues, anxiety, etc.

Pray for: John R, Rosemary, Lloyd, Dar, Diane, Sam, Becky, Bob, Karen, Brian, Ethel. Nicole's brother Scott, Debbie K son, Michael.

Lord, guide all who are struggling this week with health, loss and grief. Help us be angels that shine the Light of Christ upon them giving encouragement as they need. Amen

Save The Date!

Services for Terry Williams, who passed away on May 1, were held last week with his family up north. You probably remember Terry as serving as our Council President throughout the building of our church. A memorial is being planned for his friends, family, co-workers and church family here at Spirit of Hope to take place on November 21^st. Details will be sent when plans are completed.

Outreach

The Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest is asking us to join with them to collect school supplies and backpacks from June 1 - July 13.
