Outreach

We have new boxes in the Narthex for the Outreach Committee's projects.

• The Food Pantry is an ongoing project for the entire year. Please bring any non-perishable items any Sunday. All food goes to the Superstition Food Bank in Apache Junction.

• Our new project is an Underwear Drive. These new undies will be given to selected charities - women’s and children's will go to CAAFA/New Leaf and men’s will go to the Genesis Project. Thanks for Max & Alice Tiede for their suggestion. This five week drive will start next Sunday, February 9th and conclude on March 9th.

Church Council

At our annual meeting on February 2nd, Daryl Wilton and Patrick De La Grange were elected to the council for a three year term each. At the Council Meeting on February 7th the following were elected to the Executive Board:

Vice President: Rosemary Brant

Secretary: Melody Oliver

Confirmation Class

Confirmation Classes are on the 1st and 3rd Sundays following the Sunday 9:30 service.

If your child has not attended a Confirmation Class, they are welcome to begin and attend on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month.

Women's Thursday Afternoon Bible Study

The Thursday Women’s Bible Study is held on Thursdays at 1:00 PM in the church classroom.

New members are always welcome as together we grow in God’s GRACE and LOVE.

Lord, guide all who are struggling this week with health, loss and grief. Help us be angels that shine the Light of Christ upon them giving encouragement as they need. Amen

• If you are ill, someone is hospitalized, or there is a death, call the Spirit of Hope Office at 480-396-8300.
• Names will be removed from the prayer list after three weeks. If you want to go back on the prayer list, please contact the church office or email to prayerteam@spiritofhopelutheran.com.
