WOODWORKERS

Come join a get-together of woodworkers on Friday morning, November 12th at 10 am. It will be in my woodworking garage at 2740 S Teakwood Circle in Sunland Springs Village. Click on the button below for directions.

This includes men and women who enjoy working with wood and/or other materials. No experience is necessary to join this group. We want you to share your projects and ideas with each other too.

One of the projects we will be working on is to make the crosses for our new members who join us at Spirit of Hope and other projects as needed at church.

Queen Sheets for Lutheran Social Services

Many older adults that Lutheran Social Services serve are low-income and do not have the resources to purchase new sheets. Caregivers have shared that their clients are sleeping on threadbare sheets that have not been replaced in years.

We will be collecting new queen size bedsheets for older adults and people with disabilities. Any abundance of donated sheets will be distributed to people in need across Lutheran Social Services programs, including people exiting homelessness, new refugee arrivals, and children in foster care. Your gift of new sheets preserves the dignity and respect of our neighbors.

The deadline for collection of these Queen Size Sheets is November 15th. If you have any questions, please contact Marcy Fleming at [email protected].

National Youth Gathering Fundraiser

Each Sunday there will be a table set up in the entrance where the youth are selling collectibles from Avon, Precious Moments, and Hallmark. The funds collected from this drive will go toward the cost of each youth to attend the National Youth Gathering in July of 2022. Come and support the YOUTH of your church! Thank You!

Breakfast with your Friends and Pastor

Join us for breakfast on Wednesday mornings at 9 am at the IHOP Restaurant at (Southern and Signal Butte Rd)

Prayers –

We pray for those church members who are struggling with many health issues this week.

Praise and thanksgiving to God that Diane Reinhardt is cancer free. Thank you for all the prayers.

We pray for the health of: Jerry Nelson, Lorayne and Dave Thompson, Mary Greimann, Ron Thomas, Ardis Johnson, Ethel Robbins, Linda Vandenberg, Tom Snodgrass, Marie Renda, Frieda Pyles, Vicky Kuehl, Kevin Hicks and Kim Husebye.

We pray for Pastor’s close friends – Chris Tjon and James Tjon.

Thank You all for continual prayers and for being a part of such as meaningful and special ministry for so many people.

Lutheran Disaster Response – Give where needed

HUNGER JAR - Each week we collect money in this jar to make a difference in the world through our Outreach efforts. All the funds that we collect from this jar go to help in specific ways throughout the world. These funds will be collected through the end of 2021 and are designated to go directly to the ELCA Disaster Response Fund. All money donated goes 100 percent to the disaster.
