Grocery cards Needed!!

It’s that time of year again where we find many people in our community that are without the basics to get through the holiday season. If you are able please pick up a few cash cards and bring them to Pastor Tony to distribute as needed.

We are accepting nominations for anyone who would be interested in serving on the Congregation Council.

It is a 3-year commitment with monthly meetings on the 1st Thursday of the month. Each Council member is a liaison to one of the ministry teams. Council members must be a 9-month resident with a desire to serve the Church community.

There are 4 spots to be filled this year. The congregation will vote on the nominations at the annual meeting in January. If you are interested in serving, please send a very brief bio to the Church via email

(Admin@spiritofhopelutheran.com) or place it in an envelope and leave it on the desk in the Church office.

People all over the globe are tapping into the power of generosity.

When you give to ELCA Good Gifts today, you can help us make this the biggest difference ever — sharing God’s love with others around the world.

God’s love is a gift, given through Christ. Thank you. Give Now

Pastor Tony Scheer and Pastor Roger Hanson are leading this event this year!

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know there are tags on the tree to help the JUSTA CENTER.

Seniors and veterans can find housing through the Justa center. Additionally, they help them with the benefits they are entitled to and provide them with contact information. As soon as they find housing, they give them items to start a new life, which is when our tree comes into play.

I found this so meaningful because many years ago, my parents and one-year-old brother became homeless. My father was a vet. A newspaper found them in their car and interviewed them after they lived in it for a while. There were so many offers of help after people read it, and they finally had housing. Anyone can be affected by it at any time. Therefore, I have always promised to help whenever I am able, and I am grateful to Spirit of Hope for their assistance.

So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help.

We normally have them pick it up after Christmas. So the goal is to have everything before the end of December. So if you pick a tag just drop it off at the Church and i will pick it up. We are off to an awesome start. Thank you for those dropping off items already.
