NEW! ~ Readings now available on Skype, recorded
. ~ NEW!
Continuing from last month's morsels about some psychic experiences I've had, a few more things come to mind that happened recently and which serve to explain the different abilities or talents that some people like myself occasionally have. For example, as I did readings last weekend at the Cecil College MindBodySpirit Festival, before one woman sat down at my table, I began to see in my mind's eye a sketchpad and I saw her making pencil drawings and flipping the pages over the top of the pad. I asked her if she had done that, and she said yes, that's what she does. This is straight clairvoyance.
Later in the day, with another individual, I used a different ability called intuition in which, with the use of AstroDice, I combined reason with an intuitive leap, and was able to put together three thrown outcomes - Mercury 1 Leo - to ask her if she had literary talent to use in the service of entertainment or the stage, and she said yes, she writes murder mysteries for dinner theater!
Of course, readers of this newsletter are familiar with the channeled messages each month in which I ask and receive words forming very good and grammatical structured answers of which I have no sense of input, simply that of taking dictation from my guides. This ability is called channeling and also clairaudience. The guides are definitely not one's deceased relatives (which is called mediumship - a talent I don't have), but much more like one's spiritual professors!
Here's another: In the most recent MetaMeet group, we tried an experiment with automatic writing by sitting with a notepad and allowing the writing hand to be very loose and not controlled, and waiting to see whether words or images would come through... and they did for most of us.
Last but not least, this morning I had a frustrating experience with computer programs - not one but three - in which a simple task that was always easy to do became blocked. Without going into details, I was unable to email a file of a one-hour recording to my client as I always do. After trying many different rational things, including agreeing to subscribe to Microsoft's Media Player, plugging and unplugging my hard drive, dragging files this way and that, I reached a dead end in which all of my left-brain logic and reasoning had exhausted itself. Then, a very short, very quiet message hit my brain. The right brain hinted that I might try closing and reopening the program. So simple, huh! And of course, that was the solution. So, all's well that ends well. But what exactly was that little quiet inspiration?
We all have that general ability, and with any other talent, some people have it stronger than others. But it can be developed. It can be practiced, used, and enhanced, be it intuitive, clairvoyant, mediumistic, or some of the other gifts that fall under the category of ESP.
On another note, I'm very happy to share the announcement made by Dell Horoscope magazine that it will partner with another well-regarded astrology magazine, The Mountain Astrologer, to fulfill subscriptions and perhaps be a new venue for some of Dell's frequent contributors such as myself. Yay!
Smiles and love as always,

"Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt: Advanced Engineering in the Temples of the Pharaohs" - by Christopher Dunn (Bear & Co., 2010)
Lately, I have come across a spate of books, videos, talks, and so forth by scientists such as geologists, and technical people such as Mr. Dunn who is a manufacturing engineer having spent a lifetime fabricating and designing parts in the aerospace industry, who have set their knowledge and skills to investigating ancient structures. In the process, many myths about their age and fabrication are being dispelled or overturned. For example, Nassim Haramein, a physicist, has posted videos of his discoveries in Machu Pichu, Peru, about the handling and fitting of enormous blocks of stone with precise curved cornerings and joints between which a credit card cannot be slipped even after thousands of years, or geologist Dr. Robert Schoch who has examined water erosion patterns on the Sphinx and determined that it was first created in an era when the desert was wet, which by some estimates would be 7000-5000 years ago, but which by folkloric legends state that it may be as old as 52,000 years!
And here we have an individual who has visited, time and again, ancient Egyptian structures such as the Temple at Luxor, the Great Pyramid at Giza, and several other famous or not-so-famous sites in Egypt, so as to take photographs and measurements, and who has reached a conclusion other than the standard Egyptologists' theory of how these structures were made. Needless to say, his conclusions can be summarized as saying that the proof of their size, symmetry, polish, curvature, measurements, and remaining tool marks simply could not have been achieved using only the primitive tools such as stone hammers and copper chisels espoused by museums and Egyptologists as the devices that have produced these great works.
In his book, Dunn moves through chapters in which he helps us fathom the perfect geometrical shapes that were achieved on immense scales, especially the complex curvatures in the pharaohs' crowns and also the capitals of immense columns featuring the goddess Hathor. The book is replete with great illustrations of the ellipses and other mathematical forms found, because Mr. Dunn is a stickler for measurements and pattern precision, including symmetry of ears, lips and noses. Returning many times, crawling deeply into spaces that are narrow, photographing structures at different angles and lighting conditions, and using the tools of his trade to reveal, for example, if any light shows through an otherwise perfect perpendicular surface (it doesn't), he emphasizes that round ball tools could not have carved sharp corners on the insides of granite boxes or capitals. Certain objects such an immense granite block with a perfectly polished concave surface attract his attention, as do strange large boat shaped slots in the ground outside pyramids that he postulates held large-scale machines to whittle these most adamantine of materials.
One of his chief conclusions, based upon detailed examination of statues, fallen blocks, carvings, and even some obvious mistakes that are typical when machining, is that hand tools could not have attained the precision, the depth, the facility of what we see 3000 years after their construction.
Mr. Dunn has brought his own tools, looked at the rate of carving by hand, the amount of debris that would have to be removed, markings left on surfaces, the entire creation of obelisks, the perfection of symmetry on pyramid ceilings, the lining up of gigantic columns, and so forth, and has brought together all this and more to determine that there is no doubt for him that "exact and robust machine tools existed in prehistory". He has calculated feed rates, continuous spiral grooves, the complexity of cornices, and many other particulars of engineering that remain evidence that the ancients at some point had technology even in some cases greater than our own.
His interesting point is that ancient Egypt's long period of building temples, pyramids, and tombs, covered 3000 years in which time it would only be logical that human ingenuity invented better tools and better ways to achieve their perfected goals. As with Haramein's findings in Peru, the older the structure the greater the technological finesse seems to be. This leaves us with a profound mystery regarding previous advanced civilizations before recorded history that have left indubitable evidence of the heights of their mighty achievements.
The book for a lay person has passages that are too technical to follow, but the conclusions are clear, and Dunn's writing style is quite readable
. Recommended. 4 stars.

Teachings of The Brotherhood of Light Workers
By Judi Thomases
The following segment has been received, word for word through a psychic process known as channeling. It is an invited procedure. The teachings always serve to guide
us through the journey of life. Compilations of many such messages are available in book, PDF and audio formats:
Compilation of BoLW's Messages
In the beginning of experience, there is always a sense of not knowing what is to come, where life will display itself, and how you will receive it. Your reaction is key, and can be prepared for ahead of time by learning how to alter your narrative of reality - that is to say, how you will frame your experience even before the adventure unfolds.
Sometimes there is great anxiety leading to the expectation of a negative outcome or an unpleasant involvement, and this anxiety translates into a framework that will create that type of ultimate fact. Other times there may be fantastical and unrealistic expectation of the rewarding and enjoyable outcome of an action, of a choice, of an engagement, and if this is too overblown, that too would result in an experience that is not to your liking, a result that feels disappointing because the framework was built upon lovely imagination but a lack of realistic engagement with the everyday world.
Anxiety or fear leads to an experience that is not desirable but over-optimism in the way you enter an activity can also bring pain. Neither is recommended. A more perfect approach would be to frame your expectation of the experience as either lending itself to comfortable, if not pleasant, reaction or outcome, or in the very least, neutrality - a very Buddhist or Zen concept that lets go of any expectation, and just allows.
Most people find it difficult to face an unknown task or challenge - be it great, as in life-endangering, or be it mundane, as in public speaking or making new acquaintances. All sorts of stories are told by the self to the self ahead of time in preparation, and this over-thinking truly gets in the way of the actuality that unfolds.
If at all possible, expect yourself to be comfortable and at peace with whatever comes along. Or better still, prepare yourself to simply observe the experience, observe the way your body and your mind engage with it, and even afterwards observe what your reactions were and if your preliminary narrative was accurate to its actuality, or not. All life will become more serene when the mind surrenders, and allows the event to simply transpire.
