A PERSONAL NOTE
Hi,
A lot of people ask me about general forecasts for the new year - the economy etc. Well, what about the new era?
As of February, we'll end a long disruptive period of rebellion against the status quo (Uranus square Pluto, then square our national Pluto). If you think about it, every conceivable matter was being challenged - government, the markets, relationships, religion, values. It's a wonder we've kept anything together at all! We seem to be in an age of transition. It could be "The End Times"; it could be the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, or the end of the Kali Yuga, or none of the above! The madness of the aspect should end by March... but how will we be left?
Some of us are (have been) in a kind of civil war, even as family members were pitted against one another during that prior era. It has not been easy.
Regardless, a new pattern is forming, one that we've never seen or lived through before (a Pluto return). Its textbook meaning is that of deep transformation of business and large institutions, such as the government, the Federal Reserve, and corporations). In many ways, it affects the whole world (Pluto in late Capricorn). It might herald a limitation of resources (Saturn conjunct Pluto) but possibly also a new allocation (Jupiter conjunct Pluto). The pattern might brighten our prospects (Uranus in Taurus sextile our Venus/Jupiter) but also might shake up existing ways and means.
Most of us, if fortunate in family, safety, and health, want to continue to enjoy the lifestyle we have. Some of us would love to use our blessings within this life to catapult into a higher consciousness and more open heart. Assuming fine survival prospects, is it more advantageous to succeed in such an endeavor in an atmosphere of peace and serenity or in one of turbulence, challenge, and uncertainty? Only you can answer this.
I think I know which patterns will prevail in the coming era, but I'll hold my counsel until I see more how things will play out. Feel free to contact me if you want to know how your own destiny appears.

JAN 2019 ASTRO TIDBITS
In the World, Week 1 brings a fresh approach for serious business goals, along with innovation but rocky starts (
Solar Eclipse in Capricorn conjunct Saturn, sextile Neptune; Uranus station direct quinqunx Venus, trine Mercury, and square Node
). These plans can be delayed on the 14th (
Mercury conjunct Saturn
), perhaps because of over-idealism (
Neptune square Jupiter
), but the 19th indicates persuasive pressure to reach agreements (
Mercury conjunct Pluto
). There is gullibility on the 21st (
Neptune square Venus
), but bold moves from 1/25-26 (
Mars trine Jupiter
), and practical dreams in Week 4 (
Neptune sextile Saturn
). Unfortunately, month's end brings violence (
Mars square Pluto
).
For the U.S., the start of the month sees energy going towards the needs of the homeland (
Mars conjunct U.S. IC
) while the end of Week 1 shows investment benefits, feminist discontent, turmoil and excess (
Venus sextile U.S. Pluto, square U.S. Moon; Uranus station direct square U.S. Pluto; Solar Eclipse in U.S. H2 opposite U.S. Sun/progressed Jupiter exact
). The 11th-13th indicates the return of old patterns but a practical effort towards care (
U.S. progressed Moon opposite U.S. Jupiter, trine U.S. progressed Ascendant
). Over-generosity continues through mid-month but the climate is good for slow business growth (
Jupiter square U.S. progressed Sun, sextile U.S. Saturn
). The second half of the month brings rage (
Pluto quinqunx Mars
) along with a government shutdown which nevertheless works out fine (
Saturn opposite U.S. Sun, square U.S. Saturn, sextile U.S. progressed Sun
). The 21st can see the end of a funding issue (the Wall?) (
Lunar Eclipse in U.S. H8 opposite U.S. progressed Pluto
).
For President Trump, his energy is focused on funding, and he can make abrupt shifts regarding cooperation (
Mars into H8; Uranus conjunct his progressed Descendant
). Week 1 is nice for large-scale projects (
Jupiter trine his progressed Pluto
), and mid-month benefits deals and communications (
Jupiter trine his progressed Mercury
). He faces turbulence during the second half of the month (
Pluto quinqunx his Node/progressed Uranus
). On the 27th he is quite bold (
Mars opposite his Jupiter
), very well liked by many (
Venus conjunct his Moon
), and though assured, unpopular with many others (

). The last day brings a risky but excellent offer (

).

REVIEW:
"
The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter & Miracles" - Bruce Lipton, Ph.D. (Hay House, 2005)
Cell biologist Bruce Lipton had an epiphany in 1985 while teaching medicine at a college in the Caribbean that "shattered [his]
beliefs about the nature of life." This book explains the where and why of that experience, his transformation afterwards, and the application of his new realization in its effects upon others.
His chief insight is that the cell is not controlled merely by its genetics but by its physical and energetic environment. Genes are the blueprint but the cell is "aware" of its milieu and responds accordingly. In scientific detail, he explains that experiments prove that the cell's awareness does not reside in its nucleus but in its membrane (which he wittily calls its MEM-brane). This, in turn, means that a cell has a kind of intelligence, and is not just an instinctive organism that is pre-programmed by its genes. In other words, life has volition. Awareness can override pre-programmed behaviors. Lipton says that single cells banded together to form multicellular organisms for the purpose of better survival chances by getting smarter.
Extrapolating further, Lipton concludes that a cell is like a tv, receiving information from an external source - a source which can be energetic (i.e., thoughts, emotions) as well as physical (e.g., histamines). The great insight is that this energetic broadcast signal exists outside the physical cell, which means that it's eternal. Life is eternal, and the cell is the structure that contains and responds to it. Herein lies the epiphany that gave Lipton his spiritual viewpoint.
These realizations brought the author to the understanding that all influences affect the very building blocks of our lives, and so in a truly scientific way we must begin to look at everything we come in contact with: our beliefs, our environment, parenting, transplants, and so much more. As he emphasizes, "beliefs control biology." New fields such as energy medicine and energy psychology are growing from this insight.
This book is quite interesting despite long passages of technical jargon (quite necessary to attest to its scientific basis). It's gratifying to see more and more scientists, like Lipton, coming to the spiritual conclusion that all is one, that the inner and the outer are intimately connected, and that science can prove it! Recommended. 3 stars.

ALIGNMENT WITH THE MOMENT
In the fullness of time, all things come to pass. Time seems to go by, but as we have taught, there is no time. The paradox boggles the mind and causes one to inquire and seek answers.
We do not wish to dwell upon the concept of time, only that by being, by waiting, by observing, one can feel as though sequences of events are taking place, and thus by the nature of a sequence, seem to unfold each in its proper time.
The trick here is to align your conscious mind with this sequencing, meaning you do what must be done for the needs of each moment but you don't attempt to hurry the unfolding, which is otherwise called impatience, that is, lack of patience. Nor do you dwell in misery or regret as to lost opportunities or things that did not come to pass under your ego's time-table.
What we offer here is a new approach to your thoughts and expectations. The New Year represents a fresh start. The fresh start can easily take place on the level of conscious awareness as much as any other New Year's resolution. Resolve, then, to watch the events of your life in each moment, to ponder and learn from that moment's circumstances, and to rest - serenely, if possible - in the time-table (as we shall call it) of the universe rather than that of the ego.
This is a method that brings inner peace. It causes the mind to slow down, let go, trust and feel capable or ready to deal with each next moment's circumstances. This is the way of a spiritual warrior. The warrior aspect is the readiness to spar with any challenges, and also the preparedness to take quick action if warranted in the direction of new opportunity.
We assure you that the development of this method will help you to feel much more content and indeed empowered for you do not do battle with the world but with the unfolding of the universe, and the battle is not one of resistance but one of readiness - a new state of mind.
