Happy Feast Day!
On February 2, we celebrate the feast day of Venerable Francis Libermann, who is considered the Second Founder of the Spiritans.

Francis Libermann, a Jewish convert to Catholicism, revitalized and animated the Spiritans when his Congregation of the Holy Heart of Mary merged with the Spiritans in 1848. His ideas about Practical Union, evangelical availability and the Missionary Method are still instrumental in the Congregation to this day.

2023 in Review
In 2023 SOMA distributed $537,142 to projects in 12 countries. The average unrestricted grant was $8,194.00

Since 2014 SOMA has distributed over $3.3M in grants to 20 countries where Spiritan missionaries serve.
