Be the Church!
Dear Siblings in Christ,

Our building may be closed (for now), but we are still Church together! Your lay leadership, Pastor Potter, and I are so grateful for the positive responses we received after last week's "virtual" worship. We are actively working on even more ways to ensure you are spiritually nourished during this time:

  • Our Sunday morning "virtual worship services" are available on our Facebook page or (for those not on Facebook) our website. The PDFs of the services are and will be available here. (And don't forget to "like" our Facebook page!)
  • A few prayer-related initiatives:
  • Beginning today, we are inviting the entire Zion community to pray together at 9:59 (a.m. or p.m. or both). Wherever you are, whatever you're doing - please pause to pray for the world and each other at this time.
  • We are actively working to make an interactive list of prayer concerns available to you. In the meantime, please send prayer requests to me, either by phone or e-mail.
  • Augsburg Fortress is graciously making the daily devotional "Christ in Our Home" available by e-mail for March and April. To sign up, click here.
  • A current list of phone contacts for members is available on the password-protected members-only section of our website (under "Stay Connected"). If you do not have access to this, please e-mail me and I will send it to you.

Stay safe, stay connected, and wash your hands again!

Resting in God's Grace,
Cantor Kurt R. Schmidt

Other Important Updates

  • The process to establish online giving began last week and continues this week. Stay tuned for details, and please continue to send in or set aside your offerings. Thank you for good stewardship!
  • Giovanni's Food Truck (part of our Wednesdays in Lent) will continue to be available for food service in front of Katie Luther Chapel on Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Please visit this local food vendor; a portion of the proceeds will come back to Zion!
