FEAST OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES AND WORLD DAY OF THE SICK
FEBRUARY 11, 2020

If your Area will be celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and the World Day of the Sick on or near Tuesday, February 11th, we encourage you to take photos of your members at your Mass and/or service activity and share them with the New York Office.

We plan to produce a special edition of the Spirituality in Action email highlighting this special day. Please click here to email your photo(s) along with a 2-3 sentence recap of your local Area event to Tiffany Mazza. We ask that you submit your information by Wednesday, February 19, 2020. We look forward to seeing how your Area celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and the World Day of the Sick this year.
BOARD OF COUNCILLORS MEETING IN NAPLES
Knights and Dames of the American Association joined the Board of Councillors for Mass at Saint William's Church in Naples, Florida. Bishop Frank Dewane, ChC, celebrated the Mass. Following the Mass, the group attended a reception and dinner where President Peter Kelly, MD, thanked the Naples Area for inviting the Board and said that Naples was a strong Area with a great future. The Board of Councillors met the next day for their first board meeting of the new year.
BOSTON
Knights and Dames in the Boston Area joined together for liturgy and lunch at their First Friday Gathering of the new year with the Little Sisters of the Poor and the residents of the Jeanne Jugan Residence.
The Boston Area held their annual Advent Mass and Dinner, with over 50 members in attendance, at St. Sebastian's School. Click here to read more about this day's beautiful celebration.
CONNECTICUT
Betty and Tom Flynn were awarded the Forgetful of Myself award for their work in building the Order of Malta in Connecticut and for their outstanding examples of the Order’s charism to defend the Catholic faith and serve the sick and the poor with Christlike humility. His Excellency Edward Burns, Bishop of Dallas, celebrated mass at the St. Joseph Residency with Knights and Dames of both the American and Federal Associations. Click here to view photos from this day.

Minnesota Area members and their families sang Christmas Carols for the Veterans at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center while they enjoyed special holiday treats.

MISSOURI
Knights and Dames of the Missouri Area attended a morning of reflection with members of St. Louis University’s Catholics Study Center. This morning event included Rosary, Mass, fellowship, and a talk about the history of our church fathers by Father Maconi.

Knights and Dames from the New Jersey Area gathered together to celebrate Feast of the Epiphany with a Mass at the CHurch of Christ the King. Members continued their celebrations with a reception after Mass.
NORTHEAST FLORIDA
The Northeast Florida Area invites American Association members to join them at the Marywood Retreat Center for their Area retreat, led by Fr. David Caron, OP. If you would like to attend, please click here to download the registration form.
Members of the Northeast Florida Area joined others in the March for Life 2020 in St. Augustine, Florida on January 18, 2020, under the banner of Our Lady of Philermo. Learn more about this event here.
Members met at the Sulzbacher Homeless Shelter to plan, prepare and serve a full hot lunch to hundreds of homeless people living in the downtown Jacksonville area. Click here to view more photos from this work.

UPSTATE NEW YORK
Knights and Dames from the Upstate New York Area were excited to welcome Tara Moser into the Order at the 2019 Investiture Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Ms. Moser is pictured, center, with other members of the Upstate New York Area.
WESTCHESTER
Members of the Westchester Area joined together on a snowy Saturday for a meeting, Mass, and luncheon at Cardinal O’Connor’s Clergy Residence. 
Knights and Dames in the Westchester Area gathered with the Community of Friars of the Renewal for their First Saturday Devotion on January 4th.
Every month, local Knights and Dames visit the Fordham section of the Bronx to serve lunch to the needy at P.O.T.S. See more photos from this work here.
