Krista Steiding named tasting room manager
Long-time tasting room associate Krista Steiding (pictured with Maggie) takes on a new role in the Wine Cave June 1 when she starts as tasting room manager.
Krista was a Wine Cave Club member turned volunteer when she joined the Wine Cave associates team nearly two years ago.
She's also the crafty colleague responsible for cork art in the Cave.
Krista replaces Lisa Christopher, who has been at the Wine Cave since February of 2016. Lisa was tasting room manager for two years while pursuing Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) certifications. She has a new post as wine manager for Total Wine's Leesburg store.
Maggie and several Wine Cave team members also are pursuing WSET certifications in wine education. Maggie just took her WSET Level III exam. So, when you come to taste wine, we can educate you and answer your wine questions.
Grape grower Mark, while not up to the challenge of a formal education, pursues independent study of wine through "hands-on" experience and reading.
