Camp Fire needs 97 volunteers. This is a
FAMILY FRIENDLY opportunity.

Downtown is for everyone. Downtown Spokane Partnership needs 37 adult volunteers.
ES2Congratulations to our E xcelerate Success team, Michaela Brown and Lesley Crane,  for being honored with the Community Partner of the Year award by Partners in Campus and Community Engagement (PICCE).

PICCE recognized Excelerate Success for their support of Spokane area public schools, non-profits, and colleges to collectively nourish and understand racial equity and inclusive practices. In 2018, Excelerate Success began a vital public dialogue inviting Dr. Robin DiAngelo, author of "White Fragility," to facilitate a training to challenge whiteness in our systems and institutions. They continue to lead these challenging, but critical conversations around race, offering free workshops to support nonprofits with anti-racist missions and practices. Excelerate Success brings individuals, at every stage of learning, to the table to work toward inclusive outcomes.

Congratulations Excelerate Success, your United Way team, and your many community partners, are proud to work alongside you.

FTPThank you to our 200 Tax Preparation volunteers. These volunteers attend days of training, and prepare taxes, for free, at multiple site locations throughout our community for low-income households and seniors.

Free Tax Preparation is part of Spokane County United Way's efforts to help families gain and sustain assets. Annually, volunteers prepare over 5,000 tax returns.

I would like to give a special thank you to Lucille Hanson who coordinated these efforts at the Spokane County United Way location. Just at this one site 1,685 volunteer hours were given, and over 800 returns were completed that brought in approximately $1.2 million in refunds to our community!
Thank you!
131 volunteers are needed for the Logan neighborhood. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY opportunity.
Start a towel drive and restock the shelves at House of Charity. All family members can participate at home but children must be 12 or older to enter the shelter.
