New eRA Commons Login and Landing Screens

On January 12th, you will see a new eRA Commons home screen and landing screen.

As part of the new design, once authenticated, you will be able to navigate to various eRA modules within Commons via the apps icon in the upper left corner.
Clicking the icon will present a dropdown menu of the eRA modules.
Options to get to Status, ASSIST, Personal Profile and Account Management will be available on the landing screen.

Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare Webinar

The NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) released a webinar discussing how Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests related to animal welfare compliance are handled. The 30-minute webinar covers the following topics:

  • Reviewing and fulfilling FOIA requests at NIH
  • Applying FOIA Exemptions
  • Recent trends in FOIA requests related to animal activities and the implications for your institution
  • Meeting OLAW reporting requirements without submitting additional, unnecessary information
University Updates
Subrecipient Monitoring

As part of the continuous improvement to process and procedures, OSP will be rolling out a new sub-recipient monitoring process to assist PI and departments.

In order to facilitate these changes, OSP will be adding a new sub-recipient monitoring webpage, defining roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders, provide tools and resources to assist with the sub-award invoice review process and provide campus wide training.

Spring 2021 CRA Study Group

The Spring CRA Study Group will begin with an information session on January 19, 2021, 12:00pm - 1:00pm. Register for the information session in TRACKS.

The study group will meet Tuesdays (12:00 - 1:00pm) from February 16th - May 11th.

Planning and Issuing Subawards

OSP Research Administration Training will launch SP1813: Planning & Issuing Subawards on February 10, 2021 from 9:30am - 11:00am.

The course provides learners with an in-depth look at the various policies and procedures associated with planning and issuing a subaward.

To participate in this session, please register for SP1813 in TRACKS.

Registration is capped at 50 participants. There are currently 21 registrants.
