Federal Regulatory Updates
NSF announced the issuance of the revised version of the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 20-1).

The new PAPPG will be effective for proposals submitted or due, and awards made, on or after June 1, 2020.

Significant changes include a new NSF approved format for preparation of biosketches and current and pending support documents.

OSP with UT Libraries will be offering SciENcv training on March 10 and March 12. Both faculty and staff are invited to register for the training.
Proposed Changes to Uniform Guidance

The proposed revisions to 2 CFR have been published for public review and comment. The public comment period will be open from January 22 through March 23.

The proposed revisions set the stage for enhanced result-oriented accountability for grants.

In addition to reading the proposed revisions, you may also register to a Public Forum Listening Session scheduled for February 4, 2020 from 1:30 - 2:30pm.

University Updates
Salary Compensation Reports
Beginning March 1, 2020, UT will move away from our existing process of Effort Certification using the E-Cert System and will begin using Salary Compensation Reports.

Salary Compensation Reports will be provided three times a year, following the end of each academic semester. The reports will be used as a tool to review personnel costs on sponsored accounts to ensure compliance with Federal Regulations and sponsor requirements.

For additional information, please visit the Salary Compensation Reports page and register for training.
