A New Chapter for the Golf Course...   We would like to welcome everyone to Spook Rock Golf Course.

appliedgolf management has recently been selected by the Town of Ramapo to manage the golf course operation and maintenance for Spook Rock Golf Course. We are proud to have been selected and promise that we will make every effort to meet and exceed the expectations for the golf course.

We look forward with great enthusiasm and excitement to the 2018 season.

The Transition to appliedgolf management   appliedgolf management officially took over the management of Spook Rock Golf Course for 2018. We would like to share with you some things that have already been put in place for the new season. We are pleased to announce the following:

appliedgolf management will manage the facets of the golf operation including the golf shop, golf course maintenance and food and beverage services.

We are excited to welcome Jim McCann as the new Director of Golf, Class A member of the PGA of America. Entering the golf business as an Assistant Professional in 1993, Jim has amassed a great deal of experience across all facets of golf management and instruction. In 1997 Jim became the Head Golf Professional at Rockland Lake State Park where he was responsible for management of all golf operations including changeover to a computerized tee-time system, directed all pro-shop merchandising, operated the extensive cart fleet, and managed all employees. Jonathan Coe has been hired as the new Head Golf Professional and comes to Spook Rock from Philip J. Rotella Golf Course. Jonathan, born and raised in Haverstraw, NY, began his career at New York Golf Center in Nanuet where he worked diligently up the ranks from outside operations, to golf retail and club fitting. Angelo Rubino, Chalet at Spook Rock, will return to operate the restaurant and catering operations. Reese Wasson is joining Spook Rock as Superintendent and heads the new maintenance team at Spook Rock, bringing with him a wealth of turf knowledge and management experience, as well a trained eye for pleasing golf course aesthetics. Click here to read more about Reese.

What's New for the 2018 Season

A New Logo for Spook Rock Golf Course A new logo has been created for Spook Rock Golf Course. The new look was designed to reflect and maintain the attributes of the property with a modern tone while also referencing the legend of the young Dutch woman habitually meeting her Native American Indian lover at 'Spook Rock'.

A New Computer System We have recently installed a new point of sale system at Spook Rock Golf Course. The intent of this action is to allow greater efficiency in database management and a more synergistic approach to the golf operations.

Coming Soon: A New State-of-the-Art Website We are working on creating a brand new, website for Spook Rock Golf Course! We will announce the launch of the site when it is live.
