Spooktacular Halloween Party at St. Anne's Place was filled with Joy
On top of the amazing supportive services that Haven Housing offers, we also plan Joy-filled events for our families every month. These events draw mom and child together and give them hours of fun where they don't have to be burdened by the stresses of life.
On Sunday, the families at St. Anne's Place participated in pumpkin painting, musical chairs, outdoor games and ate yummy treats specially prepared by staff. Every child was given the Halloween costume they requested because of the generosity of the
Salem Lutheran Church
Missions Team. Thank you so much Salem Lutheran and Marcia Peterson for organizing the costume drive!!
Whistling Well Farm
in Hastings donated all the pumpkins that the children had a blast painting. Thank you Charlie and Chad at Whistling Well!
Throughout the building and on the playground the sound of laughter echoed. Smiles were on the faces of every mom, child, volunteer and advocate. Events like this create special memories for our families and offer Joy. We have learned the importance of Joy at Haven Housing.
Joy motivates, inspires and provides hope. Joy aids the brain development of children. Joy is central in the ability to heal.
Thank you for your support of Haven Housing and for the Joy you are helping us to provide!
