We hope that you are excited to join us for our 7^th Annual Sporting Clays Classic at Vernon National on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. We are excited to host you!

This email will help provide you all the details you need to make the most out of our time together.

Event Location

Vernon National Shooting Preserve

3291 Burns Rd

Vernon, NY 13447

The facility is located approximately 45 minutes from downtown Syracuse. Parking is available in the parking lot or in the grass adjacent to the driveway.

Event Schedule

Check-in will open at 12:30pm and the event will conclude after dinner at approximately 7:00pm.

Important to Know

Here are a few things to know before you come out for the day:

Ammunition & Firearms - Ammo and firearms are not provided and will need to be provided by the shooter. Teams may share a firearm. Ammo is available for purchase in the gun shop and there are limited firearm rentals available as well.

Safety - Shooters will need to use hearing and eye protection on the course. We encourage participants to bring their own, but single use ear plugs and a limited supply of safety glasses are available.

Contests & Prizes

We have several oncourse games available this year. All contests cost $5 to enter.

Mulligans: Want to take a do-over on a shot? We have mulligans available for purchase at registration or on course. Mulligans are $5 each. Each shooter can purchase as many as they would like.

Clean Sweep: For any shooter who buys in, if they are able to dead (break) all clay targets on station 16, they will be able to be entered in a raffle to win a bottle of 1911 Bourbon and a box of cigars.

Lewis Class: All shooters who enter the contest will be divided into three classes based on their final score ranking. The top shooter in the first third, second third, and final third will receive a bottle of 1911 Bourbon and a box of cigars.

Gun Boards

This year we will be featuring three different guns in our gun board raffle. Participants will be able to purchase squares that correspond to playing card numbers. At the end of the event, we will draw two cards for each board. The corresponding square to the cards drawn will win the firearm. Our available firearms this year are:
