San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa (#97) had his best performance of his young NFL career in the 49ers 31-3 thrashing of the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football on Oct. 7. Bosa recorded two sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and four tackles. For his highly productive evening, the rookie was named as the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

San Francisco running back Matt Brieda (#22) had an outstanding game, rushing for 114 yards on just 11 carries. Brieda's highlight reel was the first 49ers play from scrimmage, when he took a handoff up the middle and raced 83 yards for a touchdown. ESPN reported he was running at
22.3 miles per hour.

Las Lomas-Walnut Creek - Football - Senior
In his first season with the Knights, Elijah Lash has made an immediate impact on both sides of the ball. Las Lomas improved to 7-0 with a 42-21 win over visiting Acalanes-Lafayette on Oct. 11. Lash rushed for 82 yards on just six carries and scored two touchdowns. His scoring runs went for 16 and 31 yards. On defense, he tallied more than eight tackles and had one of the team's five sacks. Las Lomas will face Campolindo-Moraga on Oct. 25 in a showdown of NorCal Top 20 teams that will likely decide the Diablo Athletic League-Foothill Division championship.
