San Francisco Giants & Oakland A's 2020 Schedules & Promotions

The Oakland Panthers, of the Indoor Football League (IFL), held their inaugural Media Day last week where players participated in a full-pad scrimmage. Forty players were to be reduced to the final 25-man roster in anticipation of the upcoming season, which begins on Opening Night, Saturday, March 14 at the Oakland Arena against the Iowa Barnstormers at 6:05 p.m. For more information, visit www.oakland-panthers.com.

The team will hold a rally on Thursday, March 12 at noon to 1 p.m. at Frank Ogawa Plaza in front of Oakland's City Hall. The rally will introduce the players and will include a performance by the Panthers' dance team, the reveal of the official Jersey, and a chance for fans to win tickets and purchase team merchandise. Sixteen-year-old Cade Cowell became the youngest player to debut in Earthquakes history
SAN JOSE, Calif. --
The San Jose Earthquakes were defeated by Minnesota United FC, 5-2, on Saturday evening at Earthquakes Stadium. The match saw the MLS debut of Quakes forward Cade Cowell, who at 16 years and 150 days, became the youngest player to debut in club history and fifth youngest in league history.
The Quakes got goals from Magnus Eriksson and Vako, both of whom tallied their first goal of the season. Eriksson, who converted on a penalty, is now a perfect five-for-five from the penalty spot in his MLS career.
San Jose now prepares for their first road match of the season against the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park next Saturday, March 14 at 4:30 p.m. PT. The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California+, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.

Oakland Roots SC 2, Michigan Stars FC 1
The Oakland Roots SC defeated the Michigan Stars FC, 2-1, on Saturday evening, March 7 at Laney College Football Field in Oakland. Jack McInerney scored from the penalty spot before Alex Garuba chipped in past the keeper to give the Roots their first league victory in club history. The Roots went up 2-0 before holding on late for the 2-1 victory. After a scoreless first half, the Roots scored in the 75th and 82nd minute on the backs of a Man of the Match performance from center back Nana Attakora
and
top-class keeping from Taylor Bailey. The Roots' next game is away, versus the Detroit City FC on Saturday, March 21 at 12 p.m.

Jaden Lazo came out firing on all cylinders in the CIF Division I Norcal Regional quarterfinals on March 5. The senior wing scored 16 points of his game-high 24 points in the first quarter to help the Pride get the jump on Grant-Sacramento. The third-seeded Salesian eventually outlasted No. 6 Grant 62-45. Lazo hit all five of his 3-point shots in the win. The Pride improved to 25-6 on the season and advanced to a Saturday semifinal against No. 7 Campolindo. Update: On Saturday Salesian fell victim to a 60-59 upset loss to Campolindo and finished the season with a
