Concussion education
2021 Canadian Concussion in Sport Virtual Symposium
This symposium will dive deeper into concussion data, innovative programs and critical new areas of research and is meant for national, provincial or community sport organizations. There will be two sessions both on Feb. 9:
  • Session 1 - New research findings: What the data says
  • 9-11:30 a.m. (Sask time)
  • Session 2 - Looking ahead: Using data to inform practice
  • 1-3:30 p.m. (Sask time)
Concussion Management presented by the Sport Medicine & Science Council of Saskatchewan
Coaches, Parents and Sport Administrators (Feb. 23)
Learn what a concussion is, how to identify it, as well as how to create and implement concussion management protocols and plans. This workshop will be facilitated by certified athletic therapist and sport physiotherapist Rhonda Shishkin. You can register for a session from either 12-1 p.m. or 7-8 p.m., but you must pre-register 48 hours in advance.

Athletes (Feb. 24)
Learn what a concussion is, how to identify them, how to manage and prevent them, as well why it is important to report them. This workshop will be facilitated by sport physiotherapist Michelle Keene. You can register for a session from either 12-1 p.m. or 7-8 p.m., but you must pre-register 48 hours in advance.
Saskatchewan Games Council seeks Board of Directors nominations
As the Saskatchewan Games program approaches its 50th anniversary in 2022, the Saskatchewan Games Council is seeking to recruit dynamic, engaged and qualified candidates to serve on their Board of Directors.

Nominated individuals will embody the Council's values, share their passion for sport and community, embrace diversity and want to help advance and strengthen the organziation as it moves into the next 50 years.

Four positions are available.
Get the athletes' perspective on what they need from coaches during the next edition of Coaching Through COVID at 3:30 p.m. (Sask. time) on Feb. 17.

The session will be moderated by Lee Anna Osei, Head Coach of the St-Francis Xavier University women's basketball team.

The panel will feature the following athletes:
