The Canadian Paralympic Committee's Connection 2021 virtual Paralympian Search is tailored specifically to women age 16 and over with disabilities who are interested in Para sport.

The event will be held entirely on Zoom and will consist of two half-day sessions on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday June 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (SK time) on both days. Further schedule details will be released at a later date, but the event will include information sessions, interactive workshops, active breaks, panel discussions and more.

Interested participants must submit their expression of interest by May 15. The maximum number of participants selected will be 25.

Beginning May 20, Tourism Saskatoon will be hosting a webinar series dedicated to navigating the world of event bids.

While the ultimate goal of Tourism Saskatoon is to encourage people to bid on events for Saskatoon, the information is applicable to any organization or group that is interested in hosting events across the province.

All webinars begin at 12 p.m. and last approximately one hour.

Let Tourism Saskatoon staff introduce you to the world of event bids and why you and your organization should be interested in hosting events in your community.

Staff will guide you through the bid cycle, navigate the RFP process and unlock the secrets to winning events.

More Rewards, in partnership with Save-On-Foods, has unveiled the More Rewards Fueling Sport program that will provide sponsorship, fundraising and cost saving opportunities to athletes and youth teams across Western Canada by pledging $10 million over the next five years.

There are two ways athletes and teams can get involved:

Elite athletes and rising stars: Athletes can apply to join the More Rewards team where they will be sponsored through free groceries from Save-On-Foods for one full year. This includes athletes competing in any sport and at any level, including club, varsity, junior, provincial or national teams. Apply by May 28.

Youth sport parents, coaches and team managers: Teams from any sport or at any level of competition can sign up to receive fundraising and cost saving opportunities. The program will begin at a date to be announced, but teams are encouraged to register now.
