THE LIFE PLAN

The LIFE Plan is a discipleship curriculum which takes you from a beginning with God into a life lived according to his purpose and for his glory. From it you will gain a grasp of the story of the Bible, the structure of the Bible, the Biblical strategy of spiritual reproduction, and of the Bible’s service plan for every believer in Jesus Christ.

We are Howard & Bonnie Lisech, and as veteran homeschoolers from back when the “earth was still cooling” we tried what was available then. That was before the era of the internet, homeschool conventions, and support groups. Our children were believers but were not challenged or encouraged by the Bible curriculum we used–and we tried them all!
Our coauthor challenged us to develop Jr. High-level Bible curriculum. She taught in public, Christian, missionary, and home schools and told us there was nothing out there that used inductive methods. We agreed and the "Discovering" project began. We understood from experience how difficult it was to find Bible curriculum that avoided the “fill-in-the-blanks” Bible facts approach. Those do not really encourage and equip students to live out and defend their faith in the “trenches” of life. We wanted them to learn how to think deeply in scripture and develop their own personal faith–not just tagging on to their parent's faith.
