SPOTLIGHT ON JOHN'S CAMP
NOW OPEN FOR THE SEASON

OPENING SPECIAL: 15% DISCOUNT PER PERSON PER NIGHT FOR NEW BOOKINGS CONFIRMED BEFORE MAY 14, 2017
Robin Pope Safaris' newest addition, John's Camp (named after renowned African safari guide, John Stevens), is now open for the season. You will find John's Camp nestled amongst canopies of Trichelia and Mahogany trees lining the banks of the mighty Zambezi River within the Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe. The camp is located in a truly natural wilderness and provides one of the wildest walking adventures to be had within a National Park.

John's Camp is run by John's daughter Sarah and his son-in-law, Milo Harrup. John Stevens is also available to guide on request. We are also excited to announce that Sarah Stevens is setting up RPS Travel Zimbabwe and will be offering ground handling within Zimbabwe. Naturally she will offer Zambia and Malawi add-ons to tie up with the rest of the portfolio.

The camp comprises of 10 beds, made up of 5 twin or double en-suite Meru style tents, Each tent has en-suite bathroom facilities with flush loo and overhanging safari-style bucket showers. Inside the tent is a lit changing area complete with a running water basin. With privacy in mind, the tents are generously spaced out along the floodplain adjacent to the Zambezi River.

The dining area is centrally located between the tents, positioned in thick shade, and there is a campfire overlooking the floodplain for evening cocktails and snacks before dinner.  Being a small camp, with a maximum of 12 guests, means that our excellent guiding team can tailor your safari to suit you, providing a highly personalized experience.

Across the vast floodplain one can walk with the giants - our African Bull elephants, dine amidst herds of buffalo, gaze upon prides of lion, enjoy sundowners with hippos on the banks of the Zambezi River, and bird watch over 400 species of birds.
