For nearly five decades, Mark & Susan Hermodson have been champions of service, generously giving their time, talent, and resources to strengthen the Lafayette community through Lafayette Urban Ministry.
Susan has shared her compassion and leadership as an active LUM volunteer and as Assistant to the Bishop of the Indiana/Kentucky Synod – ELCA, while Mark, a retired Purdue University professor and former department head, has contributed his expertise and guidance to initiatives like the LUM Capital Campaign (2008–2010).
Reflecting on their journey, Mark & Susan shared: “We believe in the collective action of many churches to achieve a major impact on homelessness and poverty. LUM’s areas of focus are very well-chosen, making the time and money well spent.”
