NEWS AND EVENTS
Seniors Cap and Gown Pick Up is Tomorrow and Friday
We will have a mandatory pick up of graduation apparel for seniors this Thursday and Friday afternoon. Please refer to the schedule below. The graduation packet includes graduation tickets, cap and gown and other cords.

In the interest of safety and social distancing, we ask that students wear a mask and gloves when they pick up their graduation packet.

When students arrive at school, they should drive through the gates on 20th Avenue. Students should not exit their vehicles. They will give their name to Mr. Peralta at the 20th Avenue gate and Mr. Peralta will forward the student's name to the Dean Team via radio. The students will drive past the pool and their graduation packet will be available for pick up behind the gym.

Students will not be able to pick up items for another senior. It is okay for a parent to pick up the packet for their son. Please contact  Mr. Peralta, if you are unable to come at your scheduled time.
Class of 2020
Senior Padre Profile Project

We are creating a web page dedicated to the Class of 2020. We will be highlighting our seniors and the incredible achievements, memories and special experiences they have had here at Serra.

We are asking all members of the Class of 2020 to complete our senior profile form and answer a brief series of questions. The student's senior portrait will serve as the thumbnail to his profile.

Each one of our seniors has made their mark here at Serra and we are eager to showcase our phenomenal Padres!

It would be very special to have participation from the entire Class of 2020.
Interested in Hosting an International Student?

A quality international program is one that places our international students in the homes of Serra families, where the young men will have the support and warmth that only a family environment can provide.

Through our Homestay Program, both the international student and the Serra family will embark on an unparalleled, enriching experience–one that will create relationships that will last a lifetime.

Host families will encourage the continued use of English skills, provide academic and social guidance, and generally support the student as he is immersed into the American culture.

International students will be provided with all meals and a bedroom in the family home. The host family will receive an annual stipend, which is covered in the cost of tuition.

And the winner of the facial hair contest is ... Jared Lujan!
Congratulations to Jared Lujan, who won the coveted senior facial hair contest! Beards were judged today during activity period.

Not surprisingly, in Jared's senior profile questionnaire, when asked what school rule he'd like to change, his response was, " The school rule that I would change would be facial hair."

Congratulations, Jared! You've won an Amazon gift card.

Coming in second place was Jack Allen, followed by a third-place tie between Angel Hernandez and Muti Shuman.

Catholic Relief Services Collection

Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl is accepting monetary donations to help the organization continue to support its international work.

Let us find hope in the work that Catholic Relief Services is doing to provide relief around the world during this crisis, particularly in communities that have little to no means to protect and care for their people.

We ask you to prayerfully consider if your family might be able to share a few resources. In these difficult times we hesitate to ask for any monetary donations, yet there is critical need in this global pandemic.

All Rice Bowl donations are tracked by zip code and 25 percent of every donation comes back to our archdiocese for local hunger programs.
