The CSG West Health Committee will host a virtual Legislative Exchange on Women’s Health on Wednesday, November 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pacific.
The discussion will focus on research and legislation surrounding menopause and perimenopause. Currently, 75 million U.S. women are in perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause—with 6,000 more women reaching menopause each day. Even though half the U.S. population will eventually experience menopause, menopause research has long been underinvested in and overlooked.
There are too few research, awareness, education, and outreach programs specifically focusing on menopause and mid-life women’s health issues. Further, only 30 percent of U.S. residency programs offer a formal menopause curriculum, and 80 percent of OB/GYN residents admit to being ill-prepared to discuss menopause.

Please join us for an engaging conversation about the future of women’s health.

Share Your Insights: Help Shape Western Governors’ Housing Initiative | The Western Governors’ Association (WGA), under the leadership of their chair, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, has launched their Building Resilient and Affordable New Developments in the West (BRAND West) initiative. With a focus on expanding access to housing in western states, the initiative will examine strategies to address housing availability and affordability and foster smart, sustainable development throughout the West.
| |
To help execute the BRAND West initiative, WGA released a survey designed to identify: (1) the current landscape of the housing market in western states; (2) key issues for governors to address in expanding housing access; (3) best practices in housing planning and development; (4) federal policy areas for possible WGA advocacy; and (5) potential participants or organizations interested in contributing to the initiative.
CSG West invites members to share their insights to guide the implementation of the BRAND West initiative and address the West's broader housing efforts. Contribute your feedback by completing the survey linked below.
