There are spots open for the Vail Recreation District's KidZone School's Out Camp for the upcoming mid-winter school break, from Feb. 26 to March 1! Register or join the waitlist now at www.vailrec.com/register.


KidZone programs engage and challenge children through sports, gym games, playground play, arts and crafts, group games and more! KidZone's flexible schedule allows children to make choices, work and play cooperatively and provide an experience full of imagination and activity.

Mid-Winter Break Camp Schedule, February 26–March 1

*ALL activities are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances*

Mon, Feb. 26: Ice skating at Dobson Ice Arena | Pickleball and trinket boxes

Tue, Feb. 27: Swimming at Avon Rec Center | Wood crafts

Wed, Feb. 28: Gymnastics at Vail Gymnastics Center | Imagination Station and banks

Thu, Feb. 29: Nordic ski or snowshoe at Maloit Park | Wooden picture frames

Fri, March 1: Sledding at Bighorn Park | Bounce house and carnival games

Ages: 5-12 AND IN grades K-5


Drop off: 7:45-9 a.m. at Red Sandstone Elementary School, east end of the building

at the gym doors by the dumpster.


Pick Up: 4-5:30 p.m. at Red Sandstone Elementary School, east end of the building

at the gym doors by the dumpster.

Fee: $55 per day


Registration: Register online at www.vailrec.com/register. A complete registration form including copies of the child’s up-to-date immunization records are required before attending. Cancellations: All reservation cancellations received one week prior to the start of a camp session will be given a refund minus a $10/day processing fee. For example, cancelling out of Feb. 28, 2024, would need to be done by Feb. 19, 2024 - one week before the first day of the holiday camp, Feb. 26.


What to Bring: Bring a lunch, water bottle, extra snacks, hat, jacket, boots, gloves, snowpants and a backpack. Appropriate clothing and footwear for daily activities and please label everything! We plan to be outside each day. All fees are included. Children may NOT spend additional money while at KidZone.
