Mother's Day is less than a week away. Are you still searching for the perfect gift for your monkey loving mama? How about a monkey sponsorship in your mom's name?!
Some of our monkeys came from breeders where they experienced the trauma of having baby after baby stolen from their loving arms. Biggie, one of our newest arrivals, experienced this cruelty for years. I wish we could bring every monkey mother in captivity to Jungle Friends so they do not have to endure the heartbreak of loosing their children.
Rico was stolen from his mother and bounced from home to home.
Dylan was an infant when he was confiscated, Monkers "adopted" him.
Biggie just gave birth here. She was confiscated from a breeder.
Many of our monkeys are former "pets" who never knew the gift of their mother's love. Breeders literally pry the clinging babies away from their mothers, creating broken bonds. Baby Rico is a victim of this heartless practice.
Will you honor your mother by  donating or sponsoring a monkey in her name? Your gift will help us continue to provide sanctuary to the monkey mothers we rescued and to the motherless monkeys who desperately wanted their mother's love.

P.S. My condolences to anyone who is grieving for their mother today. I lost my mom over 20 years ago, and it is still painfully felt, not only on Mother's Day, but every day. Read my Mom's Memorial.
