Barcroft Cleanup and Champion Tree Mulching
February 10, 1-5 p.m.
Sign up for a park cleanup and champion tree mulching project on Saturday, February 10 from 1-3 p.m. at Barcroft Community Center. Volunteers will help clean up Barcroft Park, Four Mile Run, and around Tucker Field. This event is hosted by the Douglas Park Civic Association, with help from EcoAction Arlington, Arlington County Department of Parks and Natural Resources, and the Tree Stewards of Arlington/Alexandria. Getting to Zero Carbon Buildings

Free Pop-Up Shop: Find New Clothing Sustainably
February 18, 2-5 p.m.
Help your closet and the climate by getting free, gently used clothes! Students and community members are welcome to shop at the Washington-Liberty High School Cafeteria on February 18 from 2-5 p.m. Brought to you by Arlington Students for Climate Action, EcoAction Arlington, Sierra Club Potomac River Group, NAACP Arlington Chapter, and Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions.
To contribute clothes, drop off washed, gently used clothes of any size at Casual Adventure, 3451 Washington Blvd. or Central Library, 1015 N Quincy St. before February 17th.

Virtual Volunteer Training

Learn about opportunities to get involved with EcoAction Arlington as a service project and outreach leader! In this virtual training, you will learn how to assist with our educational programs in schools, how to lead outdoor service projects, how to help us spread the word about sustainability and climate-related initiatives to the public, and more! Volunteers Needed
We are partnering with Arlington Public Schools for their Extended Day program and need volunteers for a fun paper-making activity on Wednesday afternoons this winter! Help students create handmade paper, engage with them, and assist with set up and clean up. Important Note: APS requires that all volunteers go through a brief application and a mandatory training, so we encourage you to complete this step after signing up with us!

46th Annual Meeting
Wednesday, March 13, 6:30-9 p.m.
The 46th annual membership meeting of EcoAction Arlington will celebrate protecting our waterways with a featured presentation, an overview of EcoAction Arlington programming for 2024, and the election of our board of directors. All EcoAction Arlington members are eligible to vote during the election of the board of directors. Light refreshments will be served, with exhibits from local organizations. Free. Movie Screening

In honor of Women's History Month, join us at the Mason Square Van Metre Hall Auditorium for a screening of the documentary, Forest Her: The Next Wave of Conservation, followed by a panel discussion with the film producer/director, Cheryle Franceschi, the forester featured in the film: Melody Mobley, former EcoAction Arlington board member, and Leah Nichols, PhD, Executive Director of George Mason University’s Institute for a Sustainable Earth. $15 fee.
