Self-Guided Trails and Picnic Spots
At the Drew Forest, trails lead past glacial ponds, dells and some of the oldest trees in Morris County.
Both the Hepburn Woods and the Zuck Arboretum have professionally designed (and labeled) native plant gardens that demonstrate the connection between plants, pollinators, birds and food webs.
Keep an eye out for:
-
herons, frogs, toads, carp and catfish
- some of the 100+ species of birds that frequent the Forest.
- turtles sunning themselves on logs in the ponds.
