We Are Stronger Together ~ So Share, Share, Share!

Thank You for A Great Event!

The First Annual Peabody PROMISE Car Show was a success, thanks to the incredible outpouring of support from our community! Over sixty owners showcased their vintage autos, PVMHS freshman Jalissa Williams baked and sold cookies, donating all of her proceeds to Jason's Legacy Foundation. The Peabody Federation of Teachers brought tons of snacks, and Atomic Coffee Roasters kept us warm with hot coffee. Peabody PROMISE also received donations from many local sponsors and individuals. This collective generosity will allow Peabody PROMISE to dedicate more resources to our mental health and anti-bullying initiatives. Thank you to everyone who came out in the rain and a very special thank you to Dr. Alain Chaoui and “Racetrack Rick” Scourtas, who were instrumental in organizing this special event. We look forward to doing it again next year! https://www.peabodypromisecar.com/

Digital Safety & Privacy

Most young people today have never experienced life without the internet. Because teens are so skilled and self-sufficient when using digital tech it’s important for them to be able to identify acceptable and unacceptable online content independently, know how to behave respectfully and avoid online risks, just like in real-life.
Here are 10 simple online safety tips:: https://bloomforall.com/teen/teen-dashboard/teen-digital-life/teen-digital-life-safety-privacy/

Jason's Legacy Foundation: In Memory of Jason Bernard
Last month, in remembrance of Jason Bernard, whose vibrant life was lost far too young, Jason's Legacy Foundation and his family honored him with a number of activities including a vigil on the anniversary of his passing, and a kindness egg event at Brown School. Other activities included presenting a scholarship award to a student from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School and also from Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School, and sponsoring an anti-bullying themed essay contest at Higgins Middle School.

Read the essay here. Visit Jason's Legacy Facebook Page and website to learn more.

Trusted Adult Campaign

2026 Higgins Middle School Champions for Youth were identified by young people in Peabody. Students recognized staff members for their ability to build confidence and self-esteem, keep them motivated, offer support, and more - actions that build meaningful relationships. Posters, which you can view here, are hung throughout the school.

This campaign, sponsored by the Healthy Peabody Collaborative, helps to highlight the large web of support of caring non-parent adults who are essential in helping kids in Peabody discover how to become their best selves. Research shows strong student-teacher relationships can lower teen substance use and feelings of loneliness, anxiety, or depression, as well as strengthen connection to school, academic performance, self-esteem, and helping behaviors.
