Dear Friends,

The moment we have long awaited has finally arrived the groundbreaking of our new Ronald McDonald House. The date September 9, 2025 marks more than the start of construction; it marks a powerful step forward for the countless families who will find comfort, strength, and hope within these walls. For over four decades, we have served as a beacon of comfort and care, and this new House represents our promise to continue that mission bigger, stronger, and better equipped to meet the growing needs of our community.

This milestone would not be possible without the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our supporters and volunteers, the steadfast partnership of the McDonald’s family, and the tireless efforts of our staff. We are also deeply grateful to Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami for their continued collaboration and commitment to family-centered care. As we break ground, we thank you for standing with us and invite you to be part of the journey ahead as we build a brighter future for the families who need us most.

With gratitude,

Soraya Rivera-Moya

At 60,000 square feet in seven stories, the new facility will nearly double the size of the existing Ronald McDonald House, which was built in 1982. … "When a family receives the heartbreaking news that a child is critically ill or injured, they need a place where they can stay without the added worry of finding lodging," said Soraya Rivera-Moya, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) South Florida.
